To ensure a smooth and secure Ganesh Visarjan procession, the Pimpri Chinchwad Police have announced changes in traffic routes in Pimpri and Chinchwad. These changes will be effective from 4 pm to 12 pm on Tuesday, September 17.

In Chinchwad, several roads will be closed or diverted to facilitate the procession. The road from Ahimsa Chowk to Chapekar Chowk will be closed, and traffic will be diverted from SAF Chowk via Khandoba Mal. Similarly, vehicles from Dalvinagar Bridge to Chapekar Chowk will be redirected via Bijlinagar from SKF Chowk.

Additionally, vehicles from Valhekarwadi T Junction cannot proceed to Chapekar Chowk; instead, drivers should take a left turn at Walhekarwadi Old Jakat Naka from Jain School via Bijlinagar or SKF-Khandoba Mall. Other routes, including those from Bhoi Ali and Chinchwad Chowk, will also be diverted.

In Pimpri, the road from Pimpri Chowk to Shagun Chowk will be closed, and drivers should take a right turn from Pimpri Bridge via Bhatnagar, Morwadi via Mother Teresa Bridge of Empire Estate via Kalewadi. Traffic from Kalewadi Bridge to Deluxe Chowk, Karachi Chowk, will turn right from Kalewadi Bridge to Jamtani Chowk and Gaillard Chowk.

Citizens are advised to use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. The traffic police have carefully planned the diversions to ensure a peaceful procession.

To maintain law and order, a heavy security force of 3,200 policemen, including 53 Police Inspectors, 245 Assistant Police Inspectors, and 2,440 Police Constables, will be deployed.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Doifode has urged citizens to contact the police immediately if they suspect any unusual activity.
