Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation To Install Advanced Plastic Recycling Vending Machines At Six Key Locations
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with Sandvik Coromant India under its CSR initiative and ThinkSharp Foundation, has signed an MoU to install six advanced plastic recycling vending machines across key city locations.

These state-of-the-art machines will enable citizens to responsibly dispose of plastic bottles, which will then be crushed and recycled into useful products such as safety jackets, tiles, pens, and benches. This initiative, supported by Shakti Plastic Industries, aims to address the growing plastic waste problem and promote a culture of recycling.
Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh highlighted the project as a significant step towards creating a sustainable, environmentally-conscious society. The initiative is designed to reduce plastic waste, raise awareness about responsible waste management, and encourage innovative recycling practices.
Key locations include Science Park, Ramkrishna More Auditorium, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Garden, and Yashwantrao Chavan Hospital, among others. By fostering community participation, this program represents a commitment to building a greener, cleaner future through innovation and collaboration.
