Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Approves Road Repairs, Encroachment Removal In Wakad, Tathawade, And Punawale, And Other Civic Works
In a special meeting held at the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC) headquarters, Administrator Shekhar Singh approved several key proposals, including road repairs, infrastructure upgrades, and the removal of unauthorized constructions and encroachments across various city areas.
The meeting, conducted in the late Mayor Madhukarrao Pawale Hall, included proposals that required the approval of the municipal general body and standing committee. Additional Commissioners Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, Chandrakant Indalkar, City Engineer Makarand Nikam, and other departmental heads were present at the session.
Key Approvals:
– Road Repairs:Roads in Kaspatte Wasti, Venu Nagar, Kaveri Nagar, Vishal Nagar, Pimple Nilakh, Thergaon, and around the Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital will undergo repairs.

– Encroachment Removal: Unauthorized constructions and encroachments in Wakad, Punawale, and Tathawade will be cleared.
– Infrastructure Work: Minor repair and construction activities in Moshi, Borhadewadi, Nehru Nagar, Chikhali, and Kudalwadi were approved.
PMAY-Related Approvals:
Administrator Shekhar Singh also approved key changes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY):
1. The ongoing residential project for economically weaker sections in Ravet will be restructured and included in PMAY 2.0.
2. Permission was granted to appoint a consultant on a success fee basis for constructing commercial units within the housing project in Chikhali.
These decisions aim to enhance civic amenities, streamline infrastructure development, and ensure better urban planning in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
