Tree Falls On Moving PMPML Bus In Chinchwad; One Woman Injured, Traffic Disrupted
Pimpri-Chinchwad, July 2, 2025: In a distressing incident on Tuesday morning, a large tree collapsed onto a moving PMPML bus near Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk in Chinchwad around 10 AM. The bus was heading toward Akurdi and was carrying several passengers at the time.
A woman sustained minor injuries in the mishap. Fortunately, no other passengers were harmed, confirmed Senior Police Inspector Ashok Kadlag of Pimpri Police Station.
The incident occurred during peak office hours, resulting in a significant traffic jam in the area and causing major inconvenience to daily commuters.
Fire brigade teams promptly reached the spot and began the task of clearing the fallen tree to restore normal traffic flow.
