Gradient Reduction & Road Work of NIBM Undri Road Near Palace Orchard To Be Completed in 3 Months
The gradient reduction work at NIBM Undri Road near Palace Orchard will be completed in the next 3 months.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Vikas Dhakane, Additional Municipal Commissioner, PMC, said “The work at NIBM Undri Road Near Palace Orchard is going on. However, during the rainy season, it was halted for some time. However, the work is going on again now & it will be completed in the next 3 months.”
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Parveen Tambe, Founder Member, NIBM Undri Road Residents’ Forum, said “The work is going on now as small land acquisitions are left to be done for road widening such as trees opposite a mall, land near society corners, open plots and much more. Those acquisitions are going on where notices are put. But, due to heavy rainfall, PMC wasn’t able to do the road work till the rainy season was over. However, the work order is ready by the PMC.”
In August 2023, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) approved the work of reducing the slope of the road near Ishrat Baug Society in Undri.
Along with this, other needs of some basic facilities which are not there currently like road widening along with divider, shifting utility chambers on footpath or to the road side area and constructing footpath were also put forth. Widening and constructing the divider is planned till Everjoy Society.
