Apple has announced plans to open four additional retail stores in India, specifically in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai. This announcement was made on Friday by the US-based electronics giant.

In April 2023, Apple launched its first two stores in India, located in Delhi and Mumbai. The company also mentioned that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, which are manufactured in India, will soon be available for local customers as well as for export to selected countries worldwide.

Apple began its iPhone manufacturing operations in India back in 2017 and currently employs over 3,000 people in the country. It is now producing the entire lineup of the iPhone 16, including the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

During its annual event on September 9, Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, showcasing features such as enhanced Apple Intelligence, larger display sizes, innovative camera capabilities, improved graphics for a more immersive gaming experience, all driven by the A18 Pro chip.

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max come in four finishes: black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium. Pre-orders kicked off on September 13, and they’ll be available starting September 20. Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior VP of Retail, highlighted the significance of Apple stores in India, emphasizing the strong connection with customers.

The Central government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme is likely attracting tech giants like Apple to establish a presence in India. It’s all about enhancing the experience for customers and providing more opportunities to explore Apple’s products and services.Apple is excited to expand its teams and open more stores in India to engage with the creative and passionate customers in the country.
