Parantap Chowdhury’s consulting business thrives with no paid advertisements, relying solely on LinkedIn and referrals.

Six months ago, Parantap Chowdhury made headlines when he left his high-paying job as an Assistant Vice President at Square Yards, earning Rs 54 lakh per year, due to burnout. After taking a break, he decided to share his experiences on LinkedIn, aiming to guide others facing similar challenges. This led to the creation of a consulting business focused on teaching individuals and companies the art of selling—without spending a penny on ads.

Chowdhury, who had led a sales team of 250+ and trained over 5,000 salespeople during his seven years at Square Yards and Byju’s, used his expertise to launch a digital business. At 32, he offers three key services: sales coaching for individuals, coaching for companies, and business consulting through his ‘Sales Accelerator Programme’. Charging Rs 6,000 per hour, Chowdhury has built a profitable business, closing last month with a Rs 1 lakh-plus run rate.

What sets Chowdhury apart in the crowded coaching industry is his unconventional client acquisition method. He relies entirely on organic leads from LinkedIn and personal referrals. “I don’t run ads. Writing on LinkedIn is what drives my business,” he shares. With 80% of his clients coming from LinkedIn, he’s not rushing to experiment with paid ads, preferring to focus on the slow, steady growth of his niche business model.

Chowdhury’s success lies not in building a unicorn, but in creating a profitable, flexible, remote business that provides him the work-life balance he missed in his previous roles. After seven years of high-pressure jobs that often consumed 70+ hours a week, including weekends, Chowdhury values the personal freedom his new career affords. His viral LinkedIn post, where he shared his decision to quit his job, resonated with many people feeling burnt out or uncertain about their careers. Now, with a profitable business and a growing reputation, Chowdhury is making a name for himself as a leading sales coach, all while keeping his operations lean and focused.
