Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray was on Pune visit on April 16 and 17, 2022. He performed Aarti at Hanuman Temple in Khalkar chowk in Pune.

While speaking to the media on Sunday, April 17, 2022, he informed that the loud speakers installed on the mosques must be removed after Ramzan is over or MNS will play Hanuman Chalisa outside the mosques.

He said that the mosques have five days time to remove the loud speakers after the Ramzan.

On Sunday, April 17, Thackeray held a press conference spoke to the media about the issue of loud speakers installed on mosques and Chalo Ayodhya initiative taken by him. Thackeray was in Pune since Saturday, where he also performed Aarti at the Hanuman mandir in Khalkar chowk in Pune. His two sabhas, Padwa and another one in Thane had created a stir among people across Maharashtra.

He said, “It’s not only Hindus but even Muslims get disturbed due to such noise. There is no need of loud speakers. There is nothing more important than human beings and our country. I am calm as Ramzan is going on. But be prepared for May 3 no such noise should be heard thereafter. If such loudspeakers are still used then we will protest by demonstrating agitation.”

He further said, “If they think religion is more important than the constitution, the judiciary, the Supreme Court of this country, then they need to answer in the same way. I don’t want riots in the state. But if they insist on the role of speaker, then our agitation will be heard in the same manner.”

He pointed out, “Our processions are targeted, actions are being taken and also attacked. They carry stone in their hands or use of any weapon. We shall reciprocate too. On May 1 we will be holding a public meeting at Sambhaji Nagar, (Aurangabad) and on June 5 we will be going to Ayodhya.”
