‘Chhaava’ Vicky Kaushal: ‘West Makes Avengers Because They Don’t Have Superheroes Like Chhatrapati Shivaji and Sambhaji’
Vicky Kaushal’s film “Chhaava” is generating significant attention. Amid this, Vicky’s comments regarding Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj have gone viral.
Mumbai: Actor Vicky Kaushal believes that filmmakers in the West are compelled to create films like “Avengers” because they don’t have “real superheroes” such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Kaushal portrays the Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the upcoming film “Chhaava,” directed by Laxman Utekar, set to release on December 6.
Speaking at a special event at ‘Chitra Cinemas,’ where he and Utekar showcased the movie’s teaser to an audience of fans, Kaushal expressed his deep respect for the role. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an actor. The entire team has put immense effort into this film. I often say that the West feels the need to create films like ‘Avengers’ because they don’t have superheroes like we do.
India’s history is filled with real-life heroes like Sambhaji and Chhatrapati Shivaji, who outshine any fictional character. It’s crucial to share these stories and celebrate our heritage. We owe our beautiful country to their bravery and sacrifice,” Kaushal said.
Produced by Maddock Films, the teaser of “Chhaava” was officially unveiled on social media on Monday, following its premiere alongside “Stree 2” in theaters.
The film also features Rashmika Mandanna as Chatrapati Maharani Yesubai, Sambhaji’s wife, and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, with music composed by A R Rahman and written by Rishi Virmani.
