Ferguson college becomes Single Use Plastic Free Campus

The Central Government has recently announced of complete ban on use of single use plastic. In view of this, Pune’s Ferguson college took up the initiative of making the college premises free from Single Use Plastic.
The program was organised on July 1 in the college premises which saw huge participation of college students, teachers and staff.

Dr Rajesh Shende, environmentalist, Terre Policy in the program addressing the students said that plastic ban should be a big movement. People should unitedly ban use of plastic and switch to eco friendly options.
A human chain was formed outside Ferguson college in view of the nationwide ban on single use plastic. The program was attended by Professor Dr Ravindra Pardeshi, principal, Ferguson college, ex Corporator Madhuri Sahasrabuddhe, Professor Rupali Patil and Swati Joglekar.
