Pune | July 28, 2025 – In a bid to foster public involvement and enhance traffic awareness, Pune Traffic Police has introduced a series of interactive digital initiatives. As part of this outreach, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), IPS Manoj Patil, will go live on Twitter today from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM under the hashtag #TwitterTextLive.

Citizens are encouraged to tweet their questions, suggestions, and concerns related to Pune’s traffic during the session, tagging #AskPunePolice to ensure their queries are addressed. This live interaction aims to establish a transparent dialogue between the police and the public, helping both sides work together to tackle traffic challenges.

This latest move builds on the department’s earlier initiative—the #ThursdayTrafficQuiz —launched last week to boost road safety awareness. The quiz is hosted weekly on the Pune Traffic Police’s official Instagram page and features simple, informative questions on traffic rules. The correct answers are revealed the following Thursday, creating a cycle of continuous public engagement.

What sets this quiz apart is its participatory element. Citizens who consistently answer correctly will be invited to the Pune Traffic Police office, where their feedback and suggestions will be considered in future traffic planning efforts.

“This is more than just a quiz—it’s a collaborative platform. We’re looking to involve citizens in real traffic management decisions,” said Additional Commissioner Patil.

Both initiatives reflect the Pune Police’s commitment to building an informed, safety-conscious community. Residents are urged to participate regularly, contribute ideas, and be part of the solution in making Pune’s roads safer and smarter.
