Important Update for Pimpri Chinchwad Residents: Changes to Your Local Police Station; Find Out Here

Recently, 12 new police stations were established in the Pune District, with 8 under the Pune City Police Commissionerate and 4 under the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC). Now that all the stations are operational, it’s important for residents to be aware of which police station serves their area.

The four new police stations in Pimpri Chinchwad were created to tackle the rising population and increasing crime rates in the region. These stations aim to enhance law enforcement coverage, improve public safety, and provide better policing services to the growing industrial city.

Residents often reach out to the police for various reasons, such as reporting crimes, recovering lost items, official matters, obtaining certifications, and giving statements. Here are the new police stations available for the residents of Pimpri Chinchwad :

1. Sant Tukaram Nagar Police Station: This station was created from the division of the Pimpri Police Station and is led by Senior Police Inspector Gorakh Kumbhar. Key areas served by this station include Sant Tukaram Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Ajmera Colony, Tukaram Masulkar Colony, and Morwadi. Importantly, the main building of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is also included in this jurisdiction. The police station is situated near Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial (YCM) Hospital, close to the main office of the Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Brigade in Sant Tukaram Nagar, and is part of Zone 1.

2. Kalewadi Police Station: This station was established from the division of the Wakad Police Station and is managed by Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Bahirat. Major areas under this station include all of Kalewadi, Rahatani, and parts of Thergaon. The Aundh Ravet BRTS Road acts as a boundary; areas to the east are covered by this station, while those on the opposite side remain under Wakad. The police station is located in the previous building of the Thergaon Police Chowky in Zone 2.

3. Dapodi Police Station: This station was established from the division of the Bhosari Police Station and is headed by Senior Police Inspector Nilesh Waghmare. Major areas served by this station include Kasarwadi, Phugewadi, Dapodi, Ram Nagar in Bopkhel, and Nashik Phata. Harris Bridge marks the boundary of this police station’s jurisdiction as well as that of the entire Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC). The police station is located directly in front of the College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune, and falls under Zone 1.

4. Bavdhan Police Station: This station was formed from the split of the Hinjewadi Police Station and is led by Senior Police Inspector Anil Vibhute. Key areas covered by this station include Bhugaon, Bhukum, Lavale, Pirangut, Chande, Nande, Mahalunge, and the western part of Balewadi. Notably, the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi is also under this police station’s jurisdiction. The police station is situated on NDA Pashan Road near the Bramha Building and is part of Zone 2.
