"Jo Karega Jaati Ki Baat Usko...": Nitin Gadkari’s Fiery Speech in Nagpur against caste based politics
In a powerful statement against caste-based politics, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has declared that discrimination based on caste, religion, language, or sex will not be tolerated. He stressed that an individual’s worth is determined by their character and contributions, not by their social background. “Jo karega jaat ki baat, usko kaske marunga laat (I will kick hard anyone who talks about caste),” the senior BJP leader made these comments during a speech at the convocation ceremony for the Central India Group of Institutions in Nagpur on Saturday.

Gadkari, 67, emphasized that a person’s true value lies in their qualities and character, not in their caste, religion, language, or creed. “Therefore, we do not discriminate against anyone based on their caste, religion, gender, or language,” he added.
“I am in politics, and many things happen, but I choose to follow my own path. If someone wants to vote for me, they are welcome to do so, and if they don’t, that’s their choice,” he said.
“My friends often ask me why I said or took such a stand. I tell them that losing an election doesn’t mean a person is finished. I will never compromise my principles and will continue to uphold them in my personal life,” Gadkari explained.
In addition to his strong stance against caste-based politics, Gadkari highlighted the critical role of education in societal and national progress. He shared a personal anecdote, recalling his efforts as a legislator to support a Muslim educational institution in securing an engineering college, demonstrating his commitment to promoting education within diverse communities.
He explained that he was questioned about his decision. “The Muslim community is the one that needs education the most,” he stated. Gadkari also highlighted that the words of former President APJ Abdul Kalam have resonated worldwide. “When a person rises above their caste, religion, gender, or language, they become greater,” he added.
