Lifts and Water Cooler Facility Inaugurated at Pune Railway Station to Enhance Passenger Convenience
Pune Division, Central Railway, continues its efforts towards enhancing passenger amenities and accessibility at Pune Railway Station. In a step forward, two new lifts—one each on Platform No. 6 side circulating area and Platform No. 1, along with a new water cooler facility on platform 1, were inaugurated to benefit passengers, particularly senior citizens, Divyangjan, and women travellers.
The inauguration ceremony was held on 10 June 2025. The event was graced by Muralidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Government of India; in presence of Divisional Railway Manager Rajesh Kumar Verma; Additional Divisional Railway Manager P. U. Jadhav; Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager Anil Kumar Pathak; Sr. Divisional Electrical Engineer (General) Parag Aknurwar; and other branch officials of Pune Division Central Railway.

These facilities are aimed at improving the comfort, accessibility, and basic amenities for rail passengers.
