A Gurugram man’s frustrating yet amusing interaction with HDFC Bank has gone viral, leaving the internet in splits. In a LinkedIn post, marketing expert Jayanta Chaudhuri shared his experience of requesting a change in his Relationship Manager (RM), whom he described as “incompetent to the hilt.” However, instead of resolving the issue, the bank directed him back to the same RM to process the request.

Customer Service Blunder Sparks Online Amusement

Calling the response “pure genius,” Chaudhuri wrote, “HDFC Bank Customer Care team is brilliant. Told them I wanted a change in my Relationship Manager, who is incompetent to the hilt. They wrote back and told me to contact him for doing the needful.”

His post quickly gained traction, drawing reactions from amused users. While some sympathized with his frustration, others found humor in the irony of the situation. HDFC Bank Steps In

As the post went viral, HDFC Bank responded, assuring Chaudhuri that they were addressing the issue. “Hi Jayanta, we totally understand you’re looking for a change with your Relationship Manager, and we’re on it… We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will get this sorted for you right away!”
