Mahesh’s academic background includes an MSc and MMS in Finance and Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE), and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business (2012–2014). Mahesh is the great-grandson of NG Ranga, a respected parliamentarian, Swatantra Party president, and Padma Vibhushan awardee. His parents are Suguna and Dr. Kamalendra Gogineni. He began his professional journey in 2008 with VANPIC Projects Pvt Ltd, following internships with Microsoft and HCL Technologies.
Lakshmi Venu, Mahesh’s wife, is the managing director of TVS Holdings Ltd (formerly Sundaram-Clayton Ltd), a prominent Chennai-based automotive components company with a market capitalization of Rs 27,810 crore as of November 4, 2023. She was promoted to managing director in 2022, having served as joint managing director since 2010.
