Pune: 22-Year-Old Woman Found Murdered in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Husband Missing
A 22-year-old woman was found murdered in her rented home in Kasarwadi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, on Thursday. The deceased is identified as Bhavani Punendu Mandal, from Orissa. She worked as a labourer.
Police said Bhavani was discovered lying in a pool of blood on Friday by a man who had come to collect money she had borrowed. He informed the landlord, Santosh Landge, who then called the police.
Bhavani’s husband is currently missing. Neighbours reported that the couple frequently fought, hinting at a troubled relationship.
Based on the complaint filed by the landlord, the Dapodi Police Station registered a case against Bhavani’s husband under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The police are now searching for the husband as part of their investigation. Further details about the motive behind the murder are yet to be revealed.
This shocking incident has left the local community shaken, with many questioning the circumstances leading to the young woman’s death. Authorities have urged anyone with information about the husband’s whereabouts to come forward.
