Pune Airport: New Traffic Plan Amid Terminal Opening. Know more hereĀ
Pune, July 14, 2024 – As Pune Airport prepares to operationalize its New Integrated Terminal Building, significant changes in traffic movement are being introduced to manage the transition phase. The new terminal will be inaugurated on Sunday in the presence of Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation.
Air India and Air India Express will be the first airlines to operate from the new building. Air India Flight AI-858 to Delhi and Air India Express Flight IX-320 to Bhubaneswar are set to depart at 4:00 PM and 4:10 PM, respectively. Other airlines will gradually shift operations to the new terminal.
To facilitate the smooth transition and manage traffic during the simultaneous operation of both terminal buildings, Pune Airport has implemented a revised vehicle movement plan. Passengers using the new terminal will enter through a newly constructed checkpoint gate. For departures, vehicles should take the left lanes, while arrivals will use the right lanes.
From the new terminal, traffic will be directed towards two exit points: one towards the newly constructed Viman Nagar road and another towards the Symbiosis/Lohegaon road. These changes aim to streamline traffic flow and minimize congestion during this critical transition period.
Passengers and visitors are advised to follow the new traffic guidelines to ensure a hassle-free experience at Pune Airport.
