Pune: Diwali Holidays Begin for Students Tomorrow; 15 Days of Rest, Schools to Reopen on November 11
Pune: After completing the first semester exams on Saturday, students will begin a 15-day Diwali holiday. While exams for some schools concluded on Friday, most schools wrapped up their exams today (Saturday). Students are eagerly looking forward to visiting their relatives during the break. Schools will reopen on November 11, resuming the second semester of the academic year.
This Diwali holiday coincides with preparations for the state assembly elections, with 19,000 government employees, including teachers, assigned election duties. Their initial taluka-level training is scheduled for Sunday, which means some teachers will be occupied with election work during the holidays.
Meanwhile, exams for 12th-grade students are set to begin on February 11, with practicals starting on January 24. For 10th graders, written exams will commence on February 21, with practical and oral exams starting on February 3. As a result, 10th and 12th-grade students will need to use their Diwali break to prepare for these board exams.
