Pune : Joint action held against unauthorised hawkers and construction by PMC, PWD and PMRDA in Wagholi

The drive was held on Pune – Nagar highway in Wagholi. The action was taken to ease the congestion caused by the illegal construction, hawkers, etc. The action was taken against sheds, boards, stalls and other business areas which were illegal. The drive was held under the guidance of Somnath Bankar, assistant municipal commissioner.

Somnath Bankar, assistant municipal commissioner, Nagar Road Ward office told Pune Pulse that it was a joint action taken by the government agencies on unauthorised food carts, hawkers, sheds, and other illegal businesses. The action was held between Mahalaxmi lawns to Wagholi, while tomorrow similar action from Wagholi to Mahalaxmi Lawns will be held.
