Pune: Laptop, Gold Chain, and Mobile Phone Stolen from Parked Car in Kalyani Nagar; Watch Video

Pune, August 11, 2024 – Authorities are investigating a theft that occurred outside Hotel Kalyani in Kalyani Nagar, Pune, yesterday evening. According to reports, a laptop, a gold chain with a pendant, and a mobile handset were stolen from a car parked near the hotel at approximately 7:00 PM.

The case has been lodged by a bank manager working in HDFC Bank in Ahmednagar. He was in city and decided to eat something before moving to Ahmednagar. He was accompanied by his friend who went to Hotel Kalyani in Kalyani Nagar area and parked the vehicle outside the parking lot.

While they were having food a hotel staff informed that their car window on the right side seemed to be broken by someone. The complainant rushed.to the car and found that his car window was broken and a few items were missing. Items worth Rs 1,50,000 have gone missing from the car.

The victim, approached to report the theft to the Yerwada police station shortly after discovering that the items have gone missing. The police have since launched a full investigation to apprehend the culprits and recover the stolen property. A complaint is registered against an unidentified person.

Police officials are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby cameras to identify potential suspects and piece together the sequence of events leading to the theft. Meanwhile, local residents and hotel staff are being questioned to gather additional information.

This incident highlights the ongoing concerns about security in busy areas of Pune.
