Pune News : Pune Police to deploy patrol vans in 32 police station

Pune: Police stations across Pune city will have one more patrolling van to keep watch on criminal activities across the city, said police officials recently.

According to senior police officials, presently, each police station has two to three patrolling vans for the surveillance purpose but this additional van will help them to keep monitoring the situation in a better way.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ramnath Pokale said,” These vans will be stationed at various locations across the city to keep watch on the situation in a better way. These vans will helps to monitor situations during peak hours.’’

Senior police officers are confident these additional mobile vans will benefit the police stations amid increasing menace of the ‘Koyata Gang’ across the city. Since the last two months, the Koyata gang has created terror especially in Sinhagad road, Katraj, Yerwada, Hadapsar area. To get rid of such incidents, commissioner Ritesh Kumar has strictly instructed officers to take all necessary efforts to get control over these Koyata gang members.
