Pune: The city is set to host its first Urban95 Kids Festival, exclusively designed for children aged 0-6 years and their caregivers. The festival, organized by the Bernard van Leer Foundation’s Urban95 Cities for Children initiative. The event will be held from Sunday, 26 February 2023, to 5 March 2023, at five locations across Pune.
The programme will be held on February 26 at at Anusaya Sadba Lonkar Garden off Salunke Vihar road between 10 AM to 12 Noon, on February 28 at Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park between 10 AM and 12 Noon, Lumbini Garden, Yerwada on March 1 between 4 PM and 6 PM, Children’s Traffic Park, Bremen chowk, Aundh on March 3 between 10 AM and 12 Noon and on March 5 at Sarasbaug between 10 AM and 1 PM.
The festival aims to create a safe and inclusive space for young children and their caregivers to come together, learn, play, and bond with each other. The festival will feature various activities and events, including interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, music and dance performances, art and craft activities, and more.
The festival will also provide a platform for parents, caregivers, and early childhood professionals to exchange ideas and experiences and learn about the latest research and trends in early childhood development. The festival will feature a series of talks, seminars, and panel discussions by leading experts in the field of early childhood development. The Urban95 Kids Festival is a part of the Bernard van Leer Foundation’s Urban95 Cities for Children initiative, which aims to improve the lives of young children in cities by focusing on their first 1000 days of life.
