1 August 2024
The decision has been made to completely remove the BRT route on Nagar Road due to traffic congestion, as reported by the Gokhale Institute. Consequently, the municipal administration has taken steps to eliminate a section of the BRT route from Yerwada to Vimannagar. This action has resulted in significant relief from traffic jams on this route. However, the administration was unable to remove the BRT route from Vimannagar Phoenix Mall Chowk to Kharadi due to the Lok Sabha elections.

In a meeting between Municipal Commissioner Dr. and Rajendra Bhosale, a decision was made to request the elimination of the remaining BRT routes. The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police Rohidas Pawar, as well as municipal and police officials. During this meeting, the authorities pledged to take steps to remove the remaining BRT routes.
