Pune, 11 June 2025: Tension gripped the Marketyard area on Wednesday morning after a tragic road accident claimed the life of a woman biker. The accident occurred when a speeding truck, en route from Market Yard to Aai Mata Chowk, fatally hit a two-wheeler, killing the woman on the spot.
The incident has reignited public anger over the unchecked movement of heavy vehicles during restricted hours and the lack of enforcement by traffic authorities.
Local residents, shocked by the fatal mishap, questioned why heavy vehicles continue to ply the Bibwewadi-Kondhwa stretch despite restrictions.
“Why are rules not being followed? Why is no action taken until a life is lost?” voiced several angry citizens during a spontaneous protest.
