Pune: Yerwada Metro Station Set To Open For Commercial Operation From Tomorrow
Pune, 20 August 2024: Pune Metro is set to open Yerwada Metro Station for commercial operation on 21 August 2024. The train operational hours will be from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
With the commercial opening of Yerwada Metro Station on 21st August 2024, the entire Line 2 Section from Vanaz to Ramwadi will be fully operational. This will connect Yerwada to the rest of the metro network and Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad city, significantly benefiting the daily commute of students, professionals, and residents travelling to and from Yerwada, including those heading to schools, colleges, and IT hubs etc.
The station’s facade is inspired by the historic Dandi March, symbolising a significant chapter in India’s freedom movement. This station will not only serve as a vital transport link but also as a reminder of our rich heritage.
On this occasion, the Managing Director of Maha Metro Shravan Hardikar said, “We are glad to announce the opening of Yerwada Metro Station, marking a significant milestone in our journey to provide efficient and convenient public transport to the citizens of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad city.
