Replica of Golden Gate Bridge Built in Maharashtra, Boosts Tourism
A replica of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge from Los Angeles has been constructed at Ambhora, located on the Nagpur-Bhandara district border in Maharashtra. The bridge has resolved a long-standing issue for locals who previously relied on dangerous boat rides to cross the river due to the absence of a connecting bridge.
This unique cable-stayed bridge, built with German technology, connects the two districts and promotes tourism in the region. A glass sky gallery, built at a height of 40 feet, offers visitors a stunning view of the confluence of five rivers—Wainganga, Kanhan, Am, Murza, and Kolari.
The Ambhora pilgrimage site, situated at the rivers’ confluence, has gained significance with this bridge. The sky gallery includes a 40-foot lift for easy access, allowing visitors to experience the breathtaking scenery.
The bridge’s design and glass walkway have become a major tourist attraction, drawing visitors to enjoy the unique perspective of the five rivers merging.
The project is expected to boost local tourism and improve connectivity in the region. Ambhora’s development as a destination now aligns it with global standards, offering a blend of infrastructure and natural beauty.
This remarkable bridge is a testimony to the state’s efforts to modernize infrastructure while enhancing tourism opportunities.
