Solapur Garage Worker’s Daughters Make MPSC Dream Come True
Solapur, Maharashtra: Sisters Sanjivani and Sarojini Bhojane, daughters of a garage worker, have achieved success in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exam, overcoming years of financial struggles and adversity.
Hailing from a modest background in the Gavli settlement, the sisters live with their father, Jyotiram Bhojane, who works as a garage driver in Solapur. Despite his limited education—having studied only up to the fifth grade—Jyotiram worked tirelessly to provide for his family, facing significant financial difficulties. However, his unwavering commitment to his daughters’ education never wavered, inspiring them to pursue their dreams relentlessly.
Determined to break the cycle of hardship, Sanjivani and Sarojini pursued their Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2018 and began their journey toward the highly competitive MPSC exam. Over the next seven years, they dedicated themselves to rigorous preparation, overcoming numerous challenges, including exam postponements during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the uncertainty, the sisters remained resolute, appearing for six MPSC mains exams. Their bond strengthened through shared struggles, treating each other not just as siblings but as close friends. They never lost sight of their goal, fueled by the sacrifices of their parents.

Their perseverance finally paid off when the MPSC results were announced on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., bringing immense joy and relief to their family. Their home in the workers’ colony erupted in celebration as their parents shed tears of happiness, acknowledging the hardships endured to ensure their daughters’ education.
On the eve of the full moon Wednesday, the devoted followers of Swami Samarth received the life-changing news. Their father’s relentless efforts and their family’s support played a crucial role in their success. “Although we are sisters, we are like best friends. We understand our family’s struggles, which motivated us to work even harder,” they shared.
Living in a cramped household of six, including their grandmother, the sisters faced daily challenges. Despite limited space, they persevered, studying with determination. After clearing the exam, they qualified for both Revenue Assistant and Tax Assistant positions, choosing the latter.
Their journey was also made possible by the support of their cousin, Prashant Shivaji Bachute, who provided financial and emotional assistance, and their father’s friend, Brahmadev Khatke, who generously offered them a free room to study during the pandemic. This safe and stable environment allowed them to focus without added stress.
Sanjivani and Sarojini attribute their success to the unwavering support of their family and well-wishers. Now, they aspire to give back to society and inspire others who face similar challenges, proving that perseverance and determination can overcome even the toughest circumstances.
