Tejaswi Shinde: Pimpri Chinchwad Engineer Shines in Global Space Research

Tejaswi Shinde, a talented engineer from Moshi, Pimpri Chinchwad area has made her mark in the international space research community with her groundbreaking work. Beginning her journey as a mechanical engineering student, Tejaswi’s passion for space led her to be handpicked by renowned ISRO Director Dr. A.S. Kiran Kumar in 2017.
This pivotal moment sparked her ascent in the space sector. Tejaswi’s exceptional abilities soon caught the attention of CNRS France Director Dr. Stephane Muzzafiore, who selected her for an MSc program at the University of Southampton, UK. Out of 150 global candidates, Tejaswi secured a coveted position at Saber Astronautics, where she pursued a PhD in Space Physics, focusing on spacecraft charging.
Tejaswi’s research excellence has been showcased at prestigious conferences worldwide. Her presentations have impressed audiences at the Boston Conference (2021), Sweden Space Physics Conference (2022), AIAA USA Florida Conference (2023), and Australian Space Research Conference in Hobart, Tasmania (2023).
Her remarkable achievements have now earned her a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Colorado, sponsored by a US Air Force Defense grant, in 2024. “Tejaswi’s journey is a testament to the power of dedication and passion,” said a proud family member. “Her accomplishments inspire young minds in Pune and beyond.”

Tejasvi’s parents, former standing committee chairman Shri. Vilas Madigeri, former corporator Mrs. Namrata Londhe, and social activist Mr. Yogesh Londhe was present to celebrate her achievement.
