Traffic Restrictions Announced For Shri Ekvira Devi Chaitri Festival 2025 On Mumbai Pune Old Highway
Pune, March 27: With the upcoming Shri Ekvira Devi Chaitri Festival 2025 set to begin on April 4 in Vehergaon and Karla, Maval Taluka, the Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi has issued orders imposing traffic restrictions on heavy and oversized vehicles along the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway during the festival period.
As per the orders, entry for heavy and large vehicles will be completely restricted from Karla Phata to the Shri Ekvira Devi temple base throughout the festival. The restriction will be in effect from 12:01 AM to midnight, impacting traffic on the Old Mumbai-Pune and Pune-Mumbai highways from Kusgaon Budruk Toll Plaza, Lonavala to Vadgaon Phata and Vadgaon Maval.
To manage the traffic flow, heavy vehicles traveling towards Pune via the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway will be diverted from Kusgaon Budruk Toll Plaza in Lonavala to the Express Highway via Urse Toll Plaza towards Pune city. Similarly, heavy vehicles heading towards Mumbai from Pune will need to take the Express Highway via Talegaon Phata in Vadgaon through Urse Khind.
District Collector Dudi has urged commuters to take note of the changes and cooperate with the revised traffic arrangements to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the festival.
