Vande Bharat Sleeper to Enhance Rail Connectivity Between Nagpur, Pune, and Mumbai

The Vande Bharat Sleeper train is set to connect Nagpur with Pune and Mumbai, significantly reducing travel time and improving passenger comfort. The proposal, submitted by the Nagpur division of Central Railway, is currently under review by the Railway Board.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper aims to shorten the Nagpur-Mumbai journey to 10 hours, while the Nagpur-Pune travel time will be reduced by three hours. Currently, trains like the Superfast Express, Garib Rath Express, and Duronto Express operate on these routes, but demand often exceeds availability, especially during festive seasons.

Nagpur Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Vinayak Garg highlighted the city’s crucial role in India’s railway network, stating that the new service will enhance connectivity for passengers.

The introduction of Vande Bharat Sleeper trains will provide a faster and more comfortable alternative, addressing increasing demand and offering modern amenities for long-distance travel.
