Pune, June 9, 2026: Moviegoers eager to watch Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic The Odyssey may have to pay a premium, with ticket prices in Pune reaching as high as ₹3,000 for select seats during the film’s opening weekend.

Although the film is scheduled for release on July 17, advance bookings have already begun at a limited number of multiplexes in the city. Currently, tickets are available at two locations — INOX Megaplex at Phoenix Mall of the Millennium in Wakad and Cinepolis at Nexus Westend Mall in Aundh.

At INOX Megaplex, audiences can choose between a morning show and an evening screening on the release day. Ticket prices for standard seating categories range from ₹1,400 to ₹1,900, while premium recliner seats are priced between ₹2,600 and ₹3,200, depending on the show timing.

Cinepolis is offering comparatively lower-priced tickets for its scheduled screenings. Rates begin at ₹1,000 for regular seats and go up to ₹2,400 for VIP seating categories.

As of now, bookings have been opened only for the first three days of release — July 17, 18 and 19 — with strong interest already being reported among cinema enthusiasts and Nolan fans.

The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway and Charlize Theron. Inspired by the ancient Greek epic, the story follows King Odysseus and his decade-long struggle to return home after the Trojan War while facing mythical creatures, divine challenges and dangerous adventures along the way.

With premium-format screenings and high audience anticipation, The Odyssey is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about theatrical releases of the year, though movie lovers may need to budget accordingly for the experience.
