Maharashtra is witnessing a sharp rise in temperatures, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an important weather alert for Tuesday, April 14. A yellow alert has been declared for Thane and Raigad districts as heatwave conditions are expected to intensify across the state.

According to the IMD, most parts of Maharashtra will experience clear skies, leading to a steady increase in daytime temperatures. The heat is expected to peak during afternoon hours, prompting authorities to urge citizens to take necessary precautions.

Region-Wise Weather Forecast

Konkan Region:
The coastal belt is likely to experience the most intense heat. Thane and Raigad districts will see rising temperatures accompanied by high humidity, increasing discomfort levels. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 36°C and 39°C, while minimum temperatures may hover between 24°C and 27°C. Coastal areas will also witness high moisture levels.

West Maharashtra:
This region will experience dry weather conditions with increasing heat intensity as the day progresses. While mornings may remain relatively mild, afternoons will be significantly hotter. Maximum temperatures are likely between 38°C and 41°C, and minimum temperatures between 20°C and 24°C.

North Maharashtra:
Moderate to high heat conditions are expected, with a sharp rise in temperature during the afternoon. Maximum temperatures may range from 37°C to 40°C, while minimum temperatures could fall between 19°C and 22°C. Some areas may also experience hot winds.

Marathwada:
The region is likely to face severe heatwave conditions, with completely dry weather adding to discomfort. Maximum temperatures are expected between 39°C and 42°C, while minimum temperatures may range from 21°C to 25°C. Residents are advised to avoid stepping out during peak afternoon hours.

Vidarbha:
Vidarbha is expected to witness the highest temperatures in the state, with mercury levels possibly touching 40°C to 43°C. Hot winds will intensify the heat impact, especially during midday. Minimum temperatures are likely to remain between 24°C and 27°C, with persistent heatwave conditions in some areas.
