In Maharashtra, including Mumbai, the IMD forecasts heavy rainfall. Mumbai has already experienced severe waterlogging and traffic disruptions, particularly affecting the Andheri Subway and areas near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Major traffic jams were reported on the Western Express Highway, prompting civic authorities to advise residents to avoid unnecessary travel. The IMD has issued an orange alert for the city, predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Gujarat Weather Update
In Gujarat, heavy rains have significantly impacted Valsad, where rising water levels in Madhuban Dam have led to widespread flooding in low-lying areas and the closure of 48 streets across the district. The Disaster Management Authority reported that disaster management teams were deployed to manage the situation. Authorities released 10,000 cusecs of water from the dam in the morning and 50,000 cusecs in the evening to mitigate the flooding.
