Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a woman collapsed and died while dancing at a wedding function in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha. The tragedy unfolded on Saturday (February 8) during a ‘sangeet’ ceremony when the woman suddenly lost consciousness and fell to the ground mid-performance.
The deceased has been identified as Parineeta Jain, a resident of Indore, who had traveled to Vidisha to attend her cousin’s wedding. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing her dancing on stage before suddenly freezing and collapsing face-first.
Declared Dead at Hospital
As onlookers rushed to check on her, family members immediately transported her to a hospital. However, doctors declared her dead on arrival, attributing the cause to a heart attack. Her family, however, maintains that she had no prior health conditions.
Similar Incident Reported in Telangana
This incident follows another recent case in Telangana’s Mahabubnagar district, where a 16-year-old girl, Sajavath Roja, collapsed and died while performing at her school farewell function. Roja was a first-year intermediate student at Ekalavya Model Residential School.
The back-to-back cases of seemingly healthy individuals collapsing while dancing have raised concerns, prompting discussions on underlying health risks and the need for timely medical intervention.
