YCM Kickstarts COVID vaccination; YCM dean becomes the first person to get vaccinated in the hospital

YCM Hospital, one of the central spots of COVID vaccination in Pimpri Chinchwad area, has kickstarted the vaccination drive at the hands of area corporator Yogesh Behl, and other political leaders from the area. The dean of the hospital, Rajendra Wabale, led from the front by becoming the first among the selected individuals for the day to take the vaccine shot.

According to the information provided by Dr. Rajendra Wabale, only hundred vaccine shots will be given for the day, and the similar streak will be continued for a month until any further guidelines are provided by the government and the civic body. Another shot of the vaccine will be given after 28 days since the first shot to complete the cycle prescribed by the Health Ministry.

While talking to Pune Pulse, Dr.Rajendra Wabale said, “The procedure was very simple, and just to prove health worker facility that this is safe and complex free, I have volunteered myself to take the first shot of the vaccine. No complication have been reported post injecting the vaccine in my body; which proves that its hundred percent safe. All the procedures have been followed while vaccinating.”

According to the on site information, Pune Pulse obtained that the vaccination officer will first verify the details in the first hall after an individual enters. The person will be checked for fever and other complications that may occur while vaccination. In case of fever, the specific person will be alloted another slot on some other day. Further, when the person would be find in good condition, the vaccinator officer will take charge and give the vaccine shot. After the vaccination, the person will be asked to rest for 30 minutes under observation of the staff amd doctors. As a precautionary measure, all the facilities are availed to deal with any complication arising after vaccination.
