Alleged petrol pump fraud sparks outrage as video goes viral

A video posted on social media platform X, by a user handle named ‘Ghar ke kalesh’, has stirred controversy after accusing petrol pump employees of manipulating machine settings.

The post, shared on April 7, depicts a confrontation between a man and a group of female workers at a petrol pump in Sadiq Nagar, Delhi. 

The man claims that the employees tampered with the machine after he requested diesel worth Rs 500.

The video quickly gained traction, amassing over 550k views and sparking outrage among viewers. Many users expressed their concern over fraudulent activities at petrol pumps and called for government intervention. Instances of fraud at petrol pumps have become increasingly common, with reports of water mixing, ethanol content manipulation, and meter tampering surfacing online.

While the exact date of the incident remains unconfirmed, the viral video has reignited discussions about the need for stricter regulations and oversight in the petroleum industry.
