In a significant development, Minister Uday Samant announced that the Pune Municipal Corporation will extend water supply to the recently included villages, thus ensuring access to this essential resource for the citizens in the area.

The decision comes as a relief to the residents of Nanded, Kirkeetwadi and Nandoshi villages, as they will now receive water from 3 thousand mm pipeline through the existing distribution system. This achievement was made possible by channeling water to the pre-existing Nanded well, which had been operational during the Gram Panchayat era. To further improve the water quality, a solution of bleaching powder will be added to this water.

Responding to a query raised by Member Ravindra Dhangekar regarding water supply to the newly incorporated villages in Pune Municipal Corporation, Minister Samant assured that comprehensive measures are being taken to address the issue. The ongoing process of preparing a detailed project report for the supply of water to 11 and 23 other villages that have recently come under the jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation is a testament to the government’s commitment.

Minister Samant emphasized that the provision of adequate funds for water supply to these villages remains a top priority for the administration. This proactive approach will ensure that all residents in the newly included regions have access to a regular and dependable water supply, enhancing their overall quality of life.

The move reflects the government’s dedication to the welfare of its citizens, especially those in rural areas, who often face challenges in accessing fundamental resources. By addressing the water supply needs of these newly included villages, the Pune Municipal Corporation aims to promote sustainable development, empower local communities, and foster a thriving environment for growth and prosperity.
