₹3,000 FASTag-Based Annual Pass for Private Vehicles from August 15: Valid for 1 Year or 200 Trips—All You Need to Know
In a move aimed at simplifying highway toll payments, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced a FASTag-based Annual Pass for private non-commercial vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans. The scheme will be implemented starting August 15, 2025.
Nitin Gadkari made the announcement today. The annual pass, priced at ₹3,000, will be valid for one year from the date of activation or up to 200 highway trips—whichever limit is reached first. The initiative is designed to ease the travel experience for private vehicle owners by offering a single, affordable toll payment option for National Highway use across the country.
This pass also addresses long-standing public concerns over toll plazas located within a 60-km range and aims to reduce waiting time, ease congestion, and prevent toll-related disputes.
A dedicated link for activation and renewal will be made available on the Rajmarg Yatra App and official websites of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
Officials believe this move will benefit millions of daily highway users by providing a seamless and cost-effective toll solution.
