Engineering Student Earns ₹32,000 in a Month from X Posts
A 21-year-old engineering student has claimed he made over ₹32,000 in just one month by posting content on X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk.
The student, who goes by the name Kanav on the platform, shared screenshots of his payout history showing total earnings of ₹67,419 between July 5 and August 30. The money was credited in five separate payments, with the highest single transfer being ₹21,097. He highlighted that his August earnings alone crossed ₹32,000.
“Posting on X is already paying me more than an average tier 3 campus placement, and I literally only started 2 months ago,” Kanav wrote while sharing the payment records. However, the authenticity of his claims has not been independently verified.
To add perspective, Kanav also compared his income with placement offers at his college. According to him, the lowest package offered was ₹1 lakh per year, while the highest stood at ₹5 lakh annually — about ₹41,000 per month before deductions.

X’s Creator Revenue Sharing programme allows eligible users to earn a portion of ad revenue generated through replies on their posts. To qualify, creators must subscribe to X Premium, achieve at least 5 million organic impressions in three months, and have a minimum of 500 verified followers. Payments are made every two weeks with a minimum payout of $10.

As per post Kanav explained that he started sharing interesting tech-related content. “Within my first week of posting, one random image went viral and unlocked monetisation. After that, my following grew steadily as I kept posting,” he said.

He also shared analytics from his account, showing 882 verified followers and 28.4 million impressions so far.
His post drew mixed reactions. Some people felt inspired and asked him to share tips, while others doubted the authenticity of his claims. One commenter pointed out, “5.2k posts and 5.2k followers in just three months is unusual. That works out to around 57 posts a day, or nearly four posts every waking hour if you sleep eight hours. Impressive, but hard to believe if you’re also managing studies or a job alongside X.”
