1000 kg of E-waste collected in Wanawadi
On October 18, 2020, Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment and Rotaract club of Pune Cantonment in association with SWaCH had organised Electronic waste and other wastes collection in Wanawadi area at Nine Hills society gate, Lonkar Garden collection centres. It is great success with many gratitude and huge response with donations. People appreciated this joint efforts of Rotary Club and SWaCH. Rotary distributed Mask for safety against Covid. Total collection was about 1000kg altogether. The waste collected goes through 3R formula of Reuse, Recycle and Reprocess.
S K Gupta president of the Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment told Pune Pulse, “In no case, it goes for dumping at any public place. Thanks to participation of many members of our club, and SWaCH team in this initiative. Rotary is committed to preserve the Sustainable and Clean ENVIRONMENT.”
