A great initiative of organizing a blood donation camp was taken by SHABABUL EIDIZ ZAHABI, HUMANITY FIRST FOUNDATION (Mohsin Nagarwala), SAIFEE AMBULANCE AND PUNE ADVENTURERS on 21 March 2021, Sunday in Burhani Hall, Salunke Vihar Road, Kondhwa Pune, by the Bharti Vidyapeeth’s Bharti Hospital and Research Centre, Pune.

The blood donation program was held from 10:00 am in the morning to 3.00 pm in the afternoon. All the preparations such as arrangement of beds, sanitation etc were made beforehand.

A team of doctors and nurses from the Bharati Hospital had reached on time.

The honorary dignitaries of the camp were Mohan Joshi, Ramesh Bagwe, Sardar Patil, (PI Kondhawa Police Station), Sainath Babar, Mohsin Bhai Sheikh and Iqbal Bhai Sattar.

Donors were enthusiastic for donating blood. They were asked to fill a medical form, to give details about their health-related information. Before the donation, checking weight, pressure, and body temperature were done. They were then laid on bed with a soft ball in their hand. Then the process of extracting the blood was then started. They were given refreshments.

Dignitaries also handed over the Certificates to the blood donors. There were 128 donors.

This blood donation camp was organised for the patients of Thalassemia who are mainly children admitted in Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Bharati Hospital and Research Centre, Pune and being treated free of cost for this deadly disease.

We thank the donors and volunteers for taking out time and supporting this noble cause, and looking forward to your continuous support in the future.
