13,778 citizens fly to Pune since November 25; 21 patients found Covid19 positive

Maharashtra state Government on November 25 had announced that passengers coming from Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa and Gujrat must necessarily carry a RT – PCR negative test report done while they arrive in Pune airport, and 96 hours before entering Maharashtra through railway. The passengers were either asked to carry the COVID negative report from RT – PCR test, or get tested on Airports on their own expenses, before being given a green signal to exit the Airport and Railway station.

However, according to the recent reports shared with Pune Pulse, 13, 778 people have flown to Pune since November 25 – December 01. The information provided by the Pune Airport authorities, states that 13, 778 people have flown to Pune from Gujarat, Delhi and Rajasthan, accounting for 566, 12, 240, & 972 passengers, respectively. There have been no passengers reported from Goa who arrived in Pune.

Since, the RT – PCR test reports (Only negative reports are eligible to enter the city) are compulsory for the passengers to carry, 13, 271 passengers were given a green signal to exit Airport after verifying their reports, while 507 people were asked to compulsorily undergo RT – PCR or antigen test, out of which 21 people were found COVID positive.
