19 Pune residents conquer Everest Best Camp

Pune, Nov.25: Over 19 residents of Pune, mainly consisting of Kondhwa embarked on the journey of climbing the most difficult task, Everest Base Camp. The trek was led by their Captain Mustafa Battiwala who has experience of 38 years in trekking. He has scaled 3 peaks above 6000 metres and done numerous treks in the Himalayas and Sahyadris.
This trek started on October 2nd and completed on the 14th of October. The Total height of Everest Base Camp is 17,600 feet.
The youngest member was Amatullah Palitanawala 24 years and the oldest was Shabbir Tawawala 70 years old.

Mustafa Battiwala, the team leader said, “Our team of 19 people completed the tough EVEREST BASE CAMP trek in the month of October under the leadership of Mustafa battiwala. Most of the members were above the age of 55 years. Everyone had trained hard and could comfortably manage the task.
Most of the members were from the Kondhwa region.”
The members for the trek included Mustafa Battiwala, Hussain Dhariwala, Khizer Lokhandwala, Huzefa Hakimi, Shabbir Tawawala, Faiyaaz Lakdawala, Samar Sarda, Aliasgar Polan, Shabbir Choonawala, Murtuza Dhariwala, Hatim Raja, Qusai Ezzi, Munira Lokhandwala, Ummaima Palitanawala, Farida Nagarwala, Rashida Qutbi, Siddhi Dube, Lubaina Palitanawala and Amatullah Palitanawala.
