298 CCTV cameras to keep an eye on traffic violators

Pimpri Chinchwad, in the recent time is witnessing strengthening of law and order in the city since IPS Krishna Prakash became commissioner of the city.
While the Assistant Commissioner of Police Shrikant Disale, traffic department in charge of the city, has revealed that 298 CCTV Cameras have been installed in the city’s premises to track the violation of traffic rules and fine the violators. The footage that will be captured by the cameras will be redirected to the traffic control room at ACP office in Chinchwad.
While talking to Pune Pulse, Disale said, “We will be able to track the violation of traffic through these cameras, and accordingly the S. M. S of fine will be sent to the registered contact number of the bike owner. This system is going to be crucial in every aspect.”
