2nd Edition of Green Pune Monsoon Hill Eco-friendly marathon to be held on July 13

Pune, July 11, 2025 – City based Gold Leaf Entertainment will organize the Second Edition of Green Pune Monsoon Hill Marathon an Eco Friendly Event on July 13, 2025 at Sadu Shinde Cricket Ground. Thousands of enthusiastic runners from across the city and beyond, will be uniting for the cause of health, community, and environmental sustainability.

The event is supported by Maharashtra Pollution Control Board while Belvalkar Group and Sustainability Partner Eco Factory Foundation, Supported by Vanrai are the other supporting Partners of the event.

Atharva Iyer, Organizer of the Green Pune Monsoon Hill Marathon said that, After the tremendous success of its inaugural edition, we are happy to announce the Second Edition of Green Pune Monsoon Hill Marathon on July 13th, 2025. This Marathon will be an Eco Friendly marathon promoting Net Zero Carbon Footprint during the event.

For the first time, the Green Pune Monsoon Hill Marathon will be introducing a new category – Pawathon, a special 3 km run where participants can run or walk alongside their pets. This unique addition aims to promote a healthy, active lifestyle while fostering a deeper bond between pet owners and their furry companions amidst the natural beauty of Pune’s monsoon trails, Atharva Iyer added.

The event will offer various distance categories, including a 21 KM Run, 10 KM Run, 5 KM Run, 2 KM Fun Run, 45 plus age category and 3 KM Pawathon Category.

“Running amidst nature and contributing to its preservation makes this marathon a unique experience. We are committed to promoting sustainability through sports, and getting everyone together for a good cause and helping the society “.added Mr. Sameer Belvalkar, Director of Belvalkar Group.

The Green Pune Monsoon Hill Marathon aims to promote the importance of environmental conservation and curbing pollution by encouraging tree plantation through active community participation. I am excited to contribute to this impactful initiative by providing over 5,000 saplings, said Anand Chordia.

“This aligns with our commitment to promoting sustainable mobility and contributing to a greener future. Every Runner will be given a Sapling and seed balls, The Race T-Shirts to be handed to the participants are been made from recycled PED Bottles, at every water station recycled water cups will be made available, while the Pilots at the event will use EV Bikes from Bgauss along the route of the Marathon, Goody Bags will be given to all the participants apart from finisher medal, BIB, breakfast, hydration, route support, gift voucher and an e-certificate.

The Half Marathon 21km Race start from at Sadu Shinde Cricket Ground and then from Taljai Hills, Padmavati Parking, Treasure Park through Arnyeshwar Temple, Gajanan Maharaj Chowk and finish at Sadu Shinde Cricket Ground. The 10km Marathon will be run in two loop and 5km will be

run in one loop.

The 21km Men and women’s group winner will receive trophy and Rs.11000/-, while runner upwill get trophy and Rs.7000/-, the 10km winner will receive trophy and Rs.8000/-, while runner up will get trophy and Rs.5000/- and 5km winner will get trophy and Rs.6000/-, while runner up

will get trophy and Rs.3000/-. Apart from that, the 45 plus age category and Pawthon Category winner and runner will get a trophy.
