Over the past year, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have arrested 33 illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators within the jurisdiction of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. This crackdown will intensify in the coming days, targeting illegal scrap shops in the Chikhli-Kudalwadi area. MLA Mahesh Landge has emphasized that no compromises will be made regarding the security of the city or the nation.

In areas such as Mahalunge, Nigdi, Pimpri, Bhosari, Bhosari MIDC, Sangvi, Dapodi, Chakan, Talegaon MIDC, and Dehu Road, multiple Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators have been apprehended. Among these, the highest number of arrests 12 Bangladeshi nationals occurred in the Bhosari area over the past year. These individuals were found residing in the region using forged documents. Fake documents such as Aadhar cards, PAN cards, and others have been consistently confiscated from them.

MLA Mahesh Landge had previously raised this issue in the Winter Session of the State Legislature, drawing the government’s attention to the national security implications of the presence of Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators. In response, Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured an investigation and action. Following this, the administration took prompt action in the Kudalwadi-Chikhli area, demolishing illegal scrap shops and shelters used by Bangladeshi infiltrators.
