Pune city witnessed a series of fire incidents sparked by firecrackers over a 12-hour period from the evening of November 1 to the morning of November 2, 2024. The fires, which erupted in various parts of the city, were quickly responded to by fire stations, preventing any injuries or loss of life.
Below is a breakdown of the incidents that were reported:
1. 7:35 PM, Kalas – Garbage caught fire on the road (Dhanori Fire Station).
2. 7:36 PM, Manjri, More Wasti – Fire in a sugarcane field (Hadapsar Fire Station, one water tanker).
3. 8:05 PM, Balewadi Phata – Electrical wire caught fire in front of Kaka Halwai Sweets (Pashan Fire Station).
4. 8:06 PM, Kothrud – Fire in a tree at Rambagh Colony (Kothrud Fire Station).
5. 8:12 PM, Market Yard – Garbage fire in a trash vehicle near Gate No. 5 (Gangadham Fire Station).
6. 8:19 PM, Sahakarnagar – Fire in a coconut tree near the police station (Janata Fire Station).
7. 8:22 PM, Mangaladas Road – Fire in a tree (Naidu Fire Station).
