35-year-old woman dies after speeding truck collides with vehicle in Kharadi - Pune pulse

PUNE: A tragic incident occurred wherein a woman succumbed to injuries after being struck by a speeding truck while en route to Ranjangaon temple on Nagar Road in Kharadi.
As per the information provided, an FIR has been registered against the truck driver. The deceased has been identified as Poonamdevi Shivnandan Prasad, a 35-year-old resident of Mahavir Nagar. Her husband, Rajesh Shivnandan Prasad, aged 40, has filed a complaint with the Vimantal police.
As per the information received, the incident took place on the Pune-Nagar Road. Poonam Devi sustained severe injuries and succumbed to them. Shivnandan Prasad also suffered injuries in the accident.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Vilas Sonde, Vimantal Police Station, added, ”A thorough investigation is being carried out in this case, and an FIR has been registered under Section 279,304(a), 427, along with the India Motor Vehicle Act.”
Police are further investigating the matter.
