65 Mobile Phones Worth ₹17.82 Lakh Returned To Victim By Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar

Mobile phones worth ₹17,82,479, a total of 65 devices from various companies, were recovered from an interstate burglary gang and returned to the complainant by Pune City Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.  

On 14th July 2024, an unidentified thief broke into a mobile shop near Chavan Nagar Arch by forcing open the shutter and stole several mobile phones. A case was registered at Sahakarnagar Police Station under sections 305 and 334 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Crime No. 246/2024.  

During the investigation, three accused involved in the burglary were apprehended:

1. Mobin Munna Dewan (36), resident of Virta Chowk, Basan Nagar, Thana Ghodasahan, Bihar.  

2. Arun Kishori Saha (52), resident of Ward No. 17, Motihari, Mathia Dih, Thana Chhatvani, Bihar.  

3. Shamsad Alam Sarjaul Ansari (36), resident of Athmuhan, District Motihari, Thana Jhadokhad, Bihar.  

The police seized 65 mobile phones worth ₹11,82,419 from the accused. These recovered phones were handed over to the complainant by the honorable Police Commissioner of Pune City, Amitesh Kumar.
